Absurdly Awesome is just a fun, ridiculous and hopefully humorous place to hang out. To help you understand the enigma that is this site I’ve devised a short list to answer most of your site related questions.

1: It’s a Humor Site – Don’t take the stuff I say too seriously. Am I super offensive at times and walk the borders of insanity? Absolutely, but absurdity is sort of the point.

2: It’s Exaggerated – Do I really hate everything and am I really that big of an asshole? Sort of. My topics usually start out as something small that has caught my attention in the past, then for the sake of this site I blow it out of proportion and make it seem like the topic is my number one enemy. If I really hated everything as badly as this site indicates there’s no way I could function like a normal human being.

3: It’s Just for Fun: I’m not trying to tear apart anyone’s lives here. If I make fun of something, for instance my job, it doesn’t mean I really hate it and should be fired because of it. Again, read the first two items on this list, take a deep breath and look up the words sarcasm, absurdity and fiction in the dictionary.

4: Don’t be Intimidated: I know it might be hard to contact me or get involved because you’re intimidated by my persona. You’re also probably intimidated by how handsome and charming I am. Don’t worry, I’m actually a pretty nice guy. Sure, I may be better than you in almost every way, but we both know that already so let’s move on with our lives, like adults.

Who am I really?

Hi, my name is Josh, I live in the Midwest and I need to write.

This whole writing thing is something that’s relatively new to me, but people say I’m pretty good at it, so I continue. It’s also the only thing that gets me through most days and is my number one career choice if I was ever given the opportunity to take it that far. That’s why if you have a blog or a company that could use a writer I would love to exchange my words for money or exposure. Don’t worry, not everything I write has to be insane and nonsensical.

I have an addiction. It’s probably extremely unhealthy to admit this, but I love the internet a little too much. That’s why my day job consists of manically floating around the internet as a Social & New Media Manager. The title is great because not only can I use the internet to help better the company I work for, but also learn all the tricks to help better my personal exposure as well. It’s really the best career choice for someone like me, who needs several hours of screen staring just to keep me calm.

What am I into? You wouldn’t be able to tell from the majority of my posts here, but I like a lot of things. In fact, I really don’t hate much. Sure, some things may annoy me a little bit, but real hatred is too exhausting and time consuming. I’m a real, live male so it should surprise nobody that my interests include reading, movies, video games and hockey. I’m also into some new agey type things that I dare not mention in fear that it would severely ruin my internet personality.
